Movie Review: Valkyrie

Valkyrie
During the Second World War, not all of Germany loved Hitler. This movie depicts the resistance movement and attempted coup that was almost successful. Tom Cruise plays Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg who, showing the life has a sense of humour, lost an eye and wears an eye patch. Anyway the basics of the mission is that they will use Hitler's Operation Valkyrie against him, by kicking out the S.S. after they kill him and taking over Germany and getting peace, thus avoiding the bombing of German cities, the invasion by Russia and changing the world from what we know now. It's ambitious and dangerous and they almost pull it off. It's an intriguing movie and it moved me a bit.

Acting: 8/10
Story: 8/10
Atmosphere: 9/10
Overall: 8.5/10
Rated PG (ONT) PG-13 (USA )

P.S. During this movie I couldn't help but think "Damn! I wish they actually succeeded"
