Movie Review: Curious Case of Benjamin Button

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button had a real Forest Gump feel to it for me. The basic plot is that Benjamin was born with a disease that made him born old and grow younger. The movie starts off in 1919 and follows from through the 20s and 30s as a child and teen. He begins to work as a ship hand and he ends up leaving home.

I don't really want to spoil anymore but there is just such a great cast of characters. The scenery is vivid and it's a feast for the eyes. There are a ton of connections between this and Forest Gump other than disease such as time, the deep south, boating, war, and love. It's a moving story and if you haven't seen it do so.

Acting: 9.5/10
Story: 10/10
Atmosphere: 10/10
Overall: 10/10
Rated PG (ONT) PG-13 (USA )

P.S. Another connection to Forest Gump is the events in time. For example you can hear the Pearl Harbour speech as well as see a rocket take off
